| The family of SCS change-overs consists of both SCS 700 and SCS 710 models, each serving a different purpose. The internal coaxial relay allows the commutation of RF signals up to200 W p.s. and up to 12 GHz. By means of the specific connector at the rear of the unit, it ispossible to interface any type of external coaxial relay to control equipment with higher power or higher frequency.
The SCS 700 model is a universal automatic exchange unit that controls and manages television transmitters or microwave links of any type in1+1 configuration. It checks for the presence of video, audio, IF or RF signals and, in the case of primary signal failure, it operates the subsequent switch-over to the auxiliary source, thus ensuring continuity ofservice.
The equipment, fully run by a microprocessor, allows the configurations of the threshold levels directly from the front panel, via software. A practical multifunction display allows the control of pre-set parameters and the operating conditions of the system. From the front panel, it is possible to exclude the automatic mode, for manual control of switching.
The SCS 710 model is an automatic change-over unit that controls andoperates television transmitters and transposers, both analogue anddigital, as well as microwave links, with configurations ranging from1+1 to 8+1. All dialogues with controlled units take place through the ARM-typeultimate generation microprocessor. System management using SCS 710 is made extremely simple thanks to multiple local or remote interfaces (RS-232, RS-485, parallel contacts, SNMP, USB and LAN). The user may select either the manual or automatic mode and on/off or switching functions may be activated remotely. |
